Walking

North Cornwall is a great place to enjoy walking, whether it be along the roads , on the cliff tops, along the beaches or along the flat former railway lines of the Camel Trail.

You can bring your dogs to most areas, although Polzeath beach has a dog ban in the summer. Bodmin moor is a great favorite to get away among the rugged stones of Rough Tor (as shown above) at 1320 feet and Brown Willy - the highest point in Cornwall at 1375 feet.

We enjoy the cliff top walks from Pentire Point to Port Isaac, looking down at the cliffs and the sea, whether it be on a calm day or during a storm.

On a low tide it is fun to walk the tide line from Rock to Polzeath or to walk up river from Rock to Cant Hill and beyond - check your tide times as the return is arduous if you cannot use the beach.
